The history of Rock n' Roll is actually very
broad. Rock n' Roll was started by the African Americans in the early
1900's. It wasn't called Rock n' Roll when it was first started, it
started as jazz or the blues. Many African Americans wrote gospel music,
too. Eventually as we entered the 1950's, jazz and blues evolved into
Rock music. Teenagers started calling it Rock n' Roll as a slang term.
Eventually Rock n' Roll turned into a very popular music with many
different sub-groups in it.
